Hello! I'm Lynne Steele, the owner of Reid's Decorating. I'm sure that you want to know about me and the business. I bought Reid's Upholstery in 1978, and gradually changed the company to full decorating. I had an upholstery workshop for about 10 years, so I am very knowledgeable in that area. Retired employees forced me to find a good workshop to replace them. I have been using the same workshop for 15 years, and their work is the wonderful quality that we expect from all of our subs. From upholstery, I added wallpaper and custom drapes and blinds. After 2 more moves, I ended up at the Arboretum and stayed there 12 years. Along with all this, we added carpet, rugs, lamps and accessories. In 2002, I finally decided to simplify my life, and moved all of my best samples to a large studio in my home. This works just fine. Clients can come here to look at wallpapers and fabric books, check them out, or set up an in-home consultation. Consultations are $125/hour. Studio visits just need an appointment time, to make sure one of us is here. I am very flexible since I now work out of my home.
